January 28, 2010: State of
Disrepair
" It is
alarming that Mr. Obama failed in his state of the union
address, to tackle the near unanimous displeasure with the
current agenda of federal spending in unbelievably large
amounts, without transparency, and the effort to hasten
sea-change legislation many thousands of pages in length towards
enactment, without realistic and deliberate discussions and
vetting before the public.
Congress and the Democrats
are currently veering towards again raising our debt many more
trillions of dollars, this despite having done so last year, and that
being an outlandish raising of the debt ceiling to 300% or more of the
prior ceiling. No country, and at the least, no stable economy,
can withstand such irresponsibility. Mr. Obama ought
to have at least noted the public concern with this policy, and, in
good will to his people, should have attempted to explain it in plain
terms.
The Republican party, despite
their many opposing comments, are not putting up any realistically
effective resistance to this and other objectionable policies of
the federal government and legislature, despite the fact that
these policies are steering America towards an era, and a quality
of life, that would not even resemble what all elected officials
promised they would sustain, nor the Constitutional mandate that
they swore to uphold.
Americans should not be
assured by words, and now at this point there is little fact left to
assure us ! A vote for Jim Schneller and other candidates who
take national debt and security seriously is urgently needed !
Voters must research their votes much more closely now, because
corruption and apathy threaten our nation. We are traditionally
a people who grasp national dilemmas by the horns - this is a
year to stand up for strength of character and decency in
government ! "
November 18, 2009: Jim
Schneller Formally Announces Candidacy
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - Delaware
Countian James D. Schneller announced Thursday his entry into the race
for U.S. Representative in Congress, to represent the people of
Pennsylvania's 7th district. The district was formerly
represented by Joe Sestak.
Jim Schneller, as he is known, is running for office as an independent. His platform calls for an urgent end to out-of-control government spending, and a return to sensible policies of modest federal oversight rather than the continual acquisition of power by federal agencies and world banks. Jim Schneller is a lifetime resident of the district, who went to college at Penn State and Columbia and who works diligently to keep Pennsylvania and the United States great, and free from decay. Jim Schneller's platform calls for an end to corruption in Washington, that he believes can be implemented through the efforts of hard working, unselfish patriots like himself, who can represent their districts, rather than catering to special interests and international conglomerates. "I am a true believer that America excels because of decent law-abiding peoples' daily efforts to improve their situation and that of their children" says Schneller. "Unwholesome forces with great power, many of them foreign, are now openly causing Washington to put American ideals of free enterprise, quality education, and rights to true freedom, on the back burner, while causing, at the same time, continual world strife, economic disparity, and often, severe inequality, especially for youth, families, and the elderly." "This policy is even directed at America, where Congress' direction has veered, more than ever, towards a compromising of our economy and our way of life, while portraying themselves in pleasant terms as competently upholding the peoples' rights and happiness." Jim Schneller believes in the crucial importance of small and medium sized business, the rights of the working people, parents with families, and veterans. He believes in full disclosure of all contributions and all lobbying activity, the rights of the unborn and of Americans of advanced age, and sensible health care reform without rationing. The Friends of Jim Schneller for Congress Committee has published an internet website at http://www.jim4us.com/. December 19, 2009 : Position on Lobby
Activity
Jim Schneller joined with numerous
citizens from Radnor Township, Delaware County, and others from our
region, to inform the Radnor Board of Commissioners of the
real-time, honest viewpoint, of proposed legislation entitled Cease
Fire Pennsylvania, which, in short, sets violations for failing
to report stolen firearms. While claimed to be a deterrent to
street crime, "Cease Fire" appears to be part of a longer
range plan to deter and discourage the public from their right to
bear arms. It is a law that could not be passed by a majority
of the State House or Senate and so the anti-Second Amendment groups
are attemting to pass it by way of local government
bodies.
The law's proponents seemed determined to picture crimes involving weapons as needful of gun control, rather than in need of Courts that do what they were created for. On questioning it was revealed that no municipality has passed the law in Delaware County and that only one municipality in Delaware County, Swarthmore, was considering the measure.
Jim
Schneller reminded the Board that Radnor and Delaware County
are "gun country" and that our forebears, like so many
everyday citizens today, own and carry firearms for reasons close to
the intrinsic nature of our civilization and our
Constitutions. Jim pointed out that court decisions making an interpretation in this direction
or that, regarding "Cease Fire" s constitutionality, are
irrelevant, because the Second Amendment needs little
interpretation, so that each Commissioner's oath to uphold the
Constitution was what prevails, thus calling forth an uncomplex
duty to never infringe on the right to firearms.
Jim also
expressed outrage that the Cease Fire proponents offered options for
financing of any challenge to the passing of the law, in the Courts,
which improperly caused the entire proceeding to look and smell like a
legislative barter session. Jim demanded proof of the Cease Fire
proponents' sweeping claims of viability and public
support. The Radnor Board of Commissioners did not
vote on the issue. Thanks are in order for the many who attended
this meeting in the name of America and freedom and their
organizations, including the PAFOA,
NRA, and
NAGR,
among others.
